A record of getting things done for North Castle

I’m seeking re-election as Town Supervisor because I believe local government should be competent, responsive and transparent — delivering real improvements to public safety, infrastructure and quality of life while respecting taxpayers.

North Castle Eagle restoration

Since taking office, I’ve focused on solving problems that had lingered for years and on restoring trust that Town government will act quickly when something matters. Early on, a cherished community landmark — the North Castle Eagle — was vandalized. I reached out to local business leaders and, through their generosity and partnership, we restored and re-erected the Eagle in record time at no cost to the Town.

I also made public safety and core operations a priority from day one. The police labor agreement had gone nearly two years without a contract. Working closely with labor counsel and the Town Administrator, we immediately began negotiations and reached a new contract approved by the Town Board. We strengthened public safety tools by installing additional license plate readers at strategic points, and we rebuilt police staffing to the level the Town had budgeted for — moving from 28 sworn officers to 34.

On infrastructure and facilities, we’ve taken a “fix it right and manage it smart” approach. We replaced the failing North Bridge in Wampus Park after revisiting bid specifications, reissuing the project, and securing a reasonable bid — alongside a meaningful partnership with the Lions Club, which contributed $20,000. We repaired failing salt domes using time-sensitive American Rescue Plan Act funding. We created an in-house maintenance function to reduce costly outside contracting. I elevated the urgent need to modernize Town Hall and the Highway Department facilities and initiated the planning work needed to turn long-discussed facility needs into a reality.

I’ve also pushed forward solutions that improve everyday life: advancing downtown Armonk parking progress through the Kent Place/Verizon lot project; progressing parks improvements including the turf field and Clove Road Park through cost-saving cooperative purchasing; and working with residents on improvements like the dog park using Town staff and resources efficiently.

Finally, we’ve moved forward critical water infrastructure — both for current needs and long-term planning. We advanced a new well for Water District #4, started the process for the School Street water line extension. We’ve also led the effort to bring reliable public water and improved fire protection to Quarry Heights by advancing planning and approvals and establishing Water District #9.

I’m proud of this progress, and I’m running to continue delivering results — steady leadership, responsible spending, and practical progress for every part of North Castle.
